What is patronizing, is assuming that a game developer reads slowly enough that two short sentences is long enough to waste their time. At least we can do our part to try to be as considerate as possible. In casual language, speaking like this can go a long way because we aren't sure how the other person is going to respond to us. lol Acknowledging that someone is busy isn't patronizing. If you play with high textures and set the shadow details and distance to low, you first have 7.5 GB of vram, but after about 3 minutes you have over 8 GB. When speaking to another person, the extra padding can go a long way. It's one of the most pot/kettle things I've ever read here. Probably better to just go with "what is the status on any optimization patches?" as you wrote, but you bloated the rest of the inquiry with filler and then in a wildly ironic twist went on to critique how the question was written and they said people forget how to socialize. You don't need to start with "I'm just wondering" because your question already infers you are wondering. If you really cared that the devs were busy you wouldn't waste their time with making them read additional filler text. Lots of unnecessary words in this statement.
